As I look back on my life, I am in awe of the workings of God in my life. He works in a wonderful way; I realised that God allows things to happen for a purpose and then waits for the proper time to explain when a person is ready and capable of understanding.
As I journey on, God never leaves me alone. In the past, there were many questions that lingered in my mind:
Why did God allow me to experience pain and struggles?
Where is God leading me?
What is his purpose in my life?
I found no answers.
I tried to open my heart and allow his voice to touch my inner being. I surrendered myself to him and allow him to be in control of my life and I felt his gentle call in my heart: “Follow me”. I was fascinated by his voice and I answered “yes”. It was a risk but it gave meaning to my life and now I experience inner peace and joy.
In this adventure of life with the Lord, I feel his warm embrace. He holds me by the hand and shows me the path to follow. Following his footsteps gave me the assurance that I will not be lost. He is a father who wants what is best for his child. All my uncertainties and questions are taken over by peace and love.
In my heart, I sing the song of gratitude for the precious gift of my vocation. I ask God to always guide my journey just begun, so that I may not remain deaf to his inspiration but may always find the enthusiasm and joy to follow the path he has prepared for me in the Congregation of the Daughters of Divine Zeal. I thank the Sisters who are instruments in my discovery of my relationship with my dearest Lord.
