In this month of November, the Church has called us to remember all those who have gone before us.
Today the world remembers the countless lives lost in the horror of war.
We are also drawn together by the desire to remember and pray for our own loved ones who have died. We hold them in our hearts.
The crosses of remembrance remind us that Jesus shares with us the very human mystery of suffering and death.
God, giver and holder of all life,
we thank you for the cloud of witnesses who have left this life and
who, while now at home in life beyond us, have yet made a home in our hearts.
In your presence, we remember them.
We make this our prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen.
