Love others till it hurts

Loving and helping others. Composite image of two images from pixabay.com

Who is my neighbour?
Heed and ponder this
People of our time
Need an eye to see beyond
To the most in need and neglected

Those abandoned, with love and care
Mercy and compassion
Once you have reached and helped them
He/she is your neighbour

Mother Teresa of Calcutta
Finds the paradox “if you love till it hurts
There can be no hurts,
Only more love.”

I wonder if the people who had been helped
Could say thank you
Yet, do not expect this in return
Their smiles are more than enough
For love has given to Jesus in disguise

Rejoice, never get tired and have faith
Love others till it hurts
Peace, joy will flourish
Wherever you are
