Gazing at Jesus on the cross
My heart is pierced with sadness
For we continue nailing Him
Every time we commit a sin.
O Lord our God
You sacrificed Yourself on the cross
For all sinners and saints alike
For us to be saved and have life.
Lord, we bend our knee, please forgive us
For all the many sins we have committed
Purify our hearts and thoughts
Cleanse our impurities.
You said: “My dear children
I have forgiven you
Sin no more and live in the light of faith
You are mine and I love you always.”
Contemplating and gazing at Christ
Again and again on the cross
My sadness turns into joy
Jesus has taught me to love until death.
