As the Lenten Season begins…

Lenten fasting and abstinence
Lenten fasting and abstinence

The Lenten Season is a favourable time to revitalize our fellowship, to fix our gaze on Christ, to live inside that Divine Heart, to be converted to Him and to share His sentiments of compassion, mercy and apostolic zeal.

Lenten season is a time to read and be read, to keep the silence, to love fasting, to abstain and discern what is essential, to practice spiritual struggle and to share. (cfr. DNG, 76).

During this season, charity within the community would be more vigilant and attentive; outside it would be carried out through concrete acts of solidarity towards our needy sisters and brothers, giving them the fruits of our fasting.(United in Prayer p.178)
