Christmas Season’s Greetings

During the Christmas season, the Church celebrates the mystery of the birth of the Emmanuel and his first appearance to the people. The Announcement that resounds at Christmas is a proclamation; it is the wonder of an event that happens “today”.

A Happy & Holy Christmas
We, the Daughters of Divine Zeal, contemplating the mystery of the Incarnation of the Word, go back to the origin of our history. The story of that “small caravan” born in the poverty of the Bethlehem of the Avignone (in Messina, Italy), where the word of God, incarnated in the Eucharist, came to:

…live of His flesh and blood, and was made capable, by His real presence in the sacrament, to be able to gather from His Divine lips the command of the Divine Zeal of His Heart: Rogate ergo… ( Cf. Rogationist Anthology, p. 732)

This opens before us a way to run across: the way of concrete love, attention towards others, active benevolence, humble service, care for the poor and the little ones, Christmas celebrations therefore, are the feast of the dispersed flock that now has a shepherd; of the tired and exhausted flock, who have finally found comfort; of the mature harvest, because the barns of heaven are opened. (United in Prayer, p.102)

Let us continue to contemplate the mystery of the Incarnation of our God, Jesus Christ.

May this season of Christmas be filled with peace joy, hope and love in our heart. May it give us the occasion and the opportunity to be united, reconciled with our loved ones, our family and friends. Let us be grateful to God, the source and giver of life, for all the blessings we have received in the past year.

Be ready to welcome the New Year filled with spirit.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
AND A
PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR
TO EACH AND EVERY ONE!
