Following from last week’s article, A pouring of God’s love, Sr Alma concludes her reflection on the question by a 13-year-old boy: “What is that Blessed Sacrament…what is it?” with a prayer. Over these last four weeks of pondering, we discover that the question has been transformed to “WHO is that Blessed Sacrament…WHO is it?”
Oh my Jesus I believe you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love you above all things and I desire to receive you into my soul.
Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally come to me at least spiritually.
I welcome you and unite myself entirely with you.
Do not permit me ever to be separated from you.
Jesus, I believe in you, I hope in you, I love you.
